Quack! It's been a few months, and our webbed feet are well soaked with the cold rain Goshen's been having. Where is that white stuff we saw in Denver? Snow? Didn't get much of that this year! But soon we'll be off on our next adventure to Canada! Meanwhile, we've been busy little duckies, helping Mel choose photos for our "Duck Tales" book. Quack! It made for a fun little book to remember our adventures by. We didn't print endless copies of the books, so we'll have to post some photos and stories here! Mel's been too busy to type this out for us, so it took us a long time to type. Gulliver kept falling for Aesop's tricks, which led to many misspellings, which delayed this blog entry even more! It's hard to type if ... read more

I am asking the very special person to name the ducks. These little duckies will be a source of fun stories. ... read more

And as I've said in the past, sometimes it takes a trip away from home to realize the beauty of home. I realized that with Montreal, after my first mini-Eurotrip in 2002. I realized it with Goshen when trying to figure out how to play tourguide, first to a Swiss friend, then to an Aussie friend. And the O.C. is certainly beautiful in autumn. I realize that now. ... read more

Hello world. First entry. Great...where do I begin? I had a previous blog for my Eurotrip06 and the New Brunswick fossil dig, but rather than rewrite the stories, I will simply link the old blog. And in exploring this site, I have to say I quite like of some of the features. Mainly the Visited Countries Map. So here's my map of visited countries. In smalltown Goshen, NY, I am always told: wow you travel a lot. Very true, but this map doesn't seem to show that! It's funny how a map can put things in perspective . But I must say, I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to traveling...I have a hard time convincing myself to visit places in which I don't speak the language. Perhaps that will change when I go ... read more
