I spent two days in Cooperstown. What a cool town. I spent about an hour and a half on Monday late afternoon going through a room where they had all of the plaques for all the Hall of Famers. The next day I spent about four to five hours going through three stories of exhibits. It was a little different than I expected but was a lot of fun to go through and seeing it. I have been thinking about visiting the Hall of Fame for 50+ years. Hard to believe I finally got here.
This trip has been a dream of mine for many years. I have always wanted to take a trip around the United States after my retirement from teaching. It is hard to believe it is finally here. I will be starting an approximately 7 week driving trip, spending most of my time in the south and on the east coast. Emily will be able to join me for the first week plus and then she will have to return to work. The trip after Texas is designed to be very fluid. I have mapped out the destinations with approximate dates. If I find that I need more time at a particular location, I will stay longer.
