The concert. Hello from Atlantic City, New Jersey.
We got here thursday lunchtime after waking up to a rainy day at Ross and Christa's.I caught up e-mails and the blog, Kylie did the washing and the kids caught up on the TV watching !!
Atlantic City is only about 1 1/4 away. Found our motel ok, When I booked it I looked for the cheapest one closest to the hall where the concert is. Well thats exactly what we got. Its a 3 storied motel stuck in amongst all the huge hotels around us. Its a bit of a dive but we can walk to the Boardwalk and its got a pool. We went for a walk along the boardwalk , Just looking in the many souvineer shops along there.Went into one of the many Casino shopping centers where we had dinner. The Boardwalk is 5 miles long and about 10m wide in places with the sand dunes and the beach next to it. They have heaps of ' Chair rides' which are like a bench seat buggy with 3 wheels and an awning to keep you sheltered and these guys push you up and down the Boardwalk like a taxi service. On Friday

Tori outside the American Idol concert. we got up and had our free breakfast then went down to the boardwalk, so we got a chair ride to the 'Steel Pier' which is where all the amusement rides are.Roller coasters, The big bungy ride like in Wellington that flings you sraight up, Go karts etc.Tori, Josh and I had a go at the machine guns shooting out the star, one day i'll shoot it all out !!!! It cost me $15 to go 20 blocks. You feel a bit of a dork being pushed along while everyone is walking but it was good for a bit of a laugh. The rides are quite expensive to go on, especially when we have a season pass to six flags still waiting to be used more. We walked back to our motel, it was getting pretty hot by then. We should have walked down there and got the Taxi back.Josh bought some Jandals finally so he can stop wearing shoes in the middle of summer. Kylie bought a nice bag, good she can carry all the stuff from now on. Came back for a quick swim in the pool as no one was too keen to go for a swim in

2 of them on the piano's. the ocean. Its not the nicest smelling beach weve been on. It has all these little shells along the beach that the Casinos have gone along and cleaned up for their customers. They have plenty of life gaurds down there doing bugger all. There are a couple of bars scattered along the beach which would be quite nice to spend the evening in. Found a little place for tea that had ommelettes and steak, eggs and chips. Ideal for the Celiacs, Mrs C still not too impressed. I think she is going to dine with the best of them when we finally catch up with the Moletas in Vegas. She wants to go to a nice seafood restaurant, yeh right while the rest of us sit outside and watch her eat !! . Came back and got changed and walked about 500m down the boardwalk to the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall where there were queues of people linning up already.
Hi It's Tori.
When we went into the Boardwalk Hall the first thing we did was buy a progam and a poster. Infront of us there was a lady who paid 600 dollars for one ticket.( i think it was

The concert. front row. ) When we got to our seats we watched the little screens on the side of the stage. Every time part of Adam Lambert came on everyone would scream! Then the show started, Micheal, who came 10th was first. He sung two songs, then Megan, who came 9th, sung her two songs. Dad didn't like her. Then Scott came out of a hole in the stage playing the piano, he was really good, too bad he's blind. He was Dad's favourite out of the whole show. After the first 6 had finished they did a song all together. Next it was Allison, my favourite. She sung and played the guitar. Next it was Danny he got lots of people up dancing and singing, but not as much as Adam and Kris. Adam and allison were my favorites, so it was awesome when they did a duet. Kris Allen, the winner, even got Dad up dancing with Mum and I. How Amazing! I thought it was an awesome concert.
I thought it wasn't bad but I'm not a fan of the whole Idol thing. Its just the networks making millions out of getting the TV audience to get in
behind anyone. Its just a popularity contest of people that can sing. Saying that most of them were pretty good. 1 is just a pretty boy but yes could also sing. I liked the blind guy, he could really sing. But because he obviously has problems when he walks out from behind his piano, he didn't get anywhere.Big crowd there, full house but I'm not sure how many people in there. After the show we all walked outside and Tori wanted to go and line up to meet them. The line was huge , so no thanks. We got hit up by these guys selling take off t-shirts of American idol for 1/2 the price of the real ones inside. Then a cop came walking along and they quickly did a runner.
Saturday morning we just packed up and came home after the kids went for a quick swim. Found a book shop that mum had told us about. Kylie got some books there. Really need more time to look around more. Made some Gluten free chocolate chippie biscuits and brownies this evening. Josh mowed the lawns again. He needs to some work.
