Within minutes of landing and leaving the airport, both K and I had slight headaches from the altitude in Kalispell, but those faded as we slowly acclimated to the altitude and thin air. The weather was perfect and we had an uneventful 30-minute ride up to West Glacier and our official entry into Glacier National Park. We stayed at the Apgar Village Lodge on the shores of Lake McDonald, which is only a few minutes from the gate proper.
