Ain't He Cute ???
Tim was stuck carrying our "survival" bag for the day. Let's just say that this morning didn't start off like I had planned. I decided to get up at 8:00 a.m., get my shower, get ready and cook breakfast for everyone. My famous bacon, egg and cheese McMuffins. The McMuffins never saw the light of day today but we did have some awesome tomato sandwiches for lunch! Between the two salesmen, one sales manager and my husband, no one thought it necessary to tell me that you have to cut on the hot water heater about 30 minutes prior to taking a shower. Yes, you guessed it, I took an ice cold shower this morning around 8:00 ! By the time I got out, my fingers and toes were purple, but I carried on like a trooper. I proceeded to get dressed, put on a little makeup and start working on my hair. About 30 seconds into drying my hair, everything in the motor home went dead. I had blown some type of major fuse or breaker or something and that was the end of my hair and the end of my McMuffins. I had to wake the kids up so we could fold their bed up and head to the

Tim said it was so small he was hunched over the entire way up and back down. nearest truck stop so Tim could get what he needed to fix the motor home. This is when Kayla realizes that she spent the night in a Wal-Mart parking lot. After about 45 minutes I decided to go into the truck stop, with my wet hair, and see if I could use an outlet to blow dry my hair. Unbeknownst to me, not only did they have an outlet I could use they had entire rooms that could be used. So I go out to the motor home and get Kayla and Emily, pack them a bag and bring them in for a nice hot shower at the truck stop. I thought Kayla was going to fall completely out in the floor when I told her she was going inside for a bath. Her mouthed dropped to the floor in disbelief. On the other hand, Emily thought it was pretty cool. As we were walking down the hallway to get to the showers, I turned to the girls and said, "These are the things that memories are made of". About and hour and a half later Tim has found the problem and resolved it for us. He gets his shower
St. Louis
This is a view of St. Louis from the top of the Gateway Arch. and we are off to St. Louis. We arrive in St. Louis and go directly to the Gateway Arch. Tim, Kayla and Emily decide to take the tram to the top and check out the magnificent views while I stay behind and shop. They return an hour later and we head off to a nearby cathedral. After taking a few pictures there and saying a few prayers we head back to the motor home and take off for the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. We decided to stay and take the tour and it was actually really good. We were able to see the world famous Clydesdales as well as sample some beer in the hospitality room. We left there and headed for Kansas City. On the way to Kansas City we stopped off in a small town called Hermann, Missouri for dinner at the Stone Hill Restaurant and Winery. Our cousin Lynn let us borrow her book called "1000 places and things you must see in the US and Canada before you die" and believe it or not this little restaurant and winery in this tiny little town was in the book. The food was actually very good and we had a

Our original plan was to go all the way to Kansas City but we ran into some really bad weather so we pulled into a rest area and settled in for the evening. Kayla and Emily played Yahtzee and watched movies while Tim and I cleaned up a little and then rested. We'll be up bright and early in the morning and off to Kansas City !!
Thanks for the book Lynn, it has really come in handy !!
Please continue to keep us in your prayers !! Love you all and miss you bunches !!

My girl Kayla!
Hello to my traveling friends! I laughed outloud reading your blogs...I cannot imagine Ms. Kayla getting ready in a truck stop!! I wish you could have gotten a picture of her face when you told her what you were doing! However, you are traveling in style, it's not like sleeping in a pop up camper after driving all day. That's my childhood :) if I survived it she certainly can! It sounds like you are having an adventure of a lifetime, kinks and all. I hope that the rest of the trip is smooth sailing as you work the bugs out of the motor home and that you have the best vacation ever!! Thanks for the blogs!! I never laugh before I've finished my morning coffee!!! Be Careful and Have FUN!! Love, Ginger
