Entrance to the museum. We tried to leave Washington on Saturday morning, but our GPS took us on a circuitous route all around, only to end up about 10 blocks from our hotel. We finally got on a road that headed northeast to the ring road around Washington. Then we had to drive all around until we finally got on I-70 West. We lost and hour and a half on what was already going to be a 580 mile drive to Indianapolis. We finally arrived at our hotel in Indianapolis after 9 PM. This morning, we got up and left for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. There are a lot of cars on display from various Indy 500's and other racing series. They also had a big display on A.J. Foyt. After that we drove to Casey, Illinois. This small town has a bunch of displays that are certified as the largest items in the world. We saw a pencil, ruler, wind chime, rocking chair, mailbox and wooden shoes. Someone in the town decided to build these things to attract people back down to the old main St. It seems to have worked, as there are a lot of new shops and a lot of

This may be the last blog until we get home on Friday, as we are driving all day and not planning on stopping for anything else.

Love the oversized stuff.
What a cool end of the trip. I will call you next sunday. I fly out on Nov. 1st. Hoping to see you thursday the 2nd.
