Mississippi River

Left NO Saturday morning & drove up the Old River Road which hugs the Mississippi River.

Checked out some gorgeous antebellum plantation homes from the 1800's that have been beautifully maintained.

The river is massive.

Stayed in a B&B in a little town called Port Gibson that was the site of a battle during the American Civil war, then on to Vicksburg Sunday which was also a famous civil war site, where 1000's of confederates lost their lives.

So much history...
