The central sand castle created by a team of sculptures.
Maya and I made our annual pilgrimage to the Revere Beach Sand Sculpting Festival. Revere Beach on a Saturday night was a multi cultural world of excitement. The entire area was filled with thousands and thousands of people involved in all sorts of beach activity enjoying the wonderful summer evening. They were viewing the sculptures, swimming in the ocean, eating fried dough, devouring Italian sausages, flying kites, sitting in the sand, and waiting for the evening’s fireworks to start. The sand sculptures that were created this year all just outstanding. We were there for the judging and got to see all the artists. Being at the beach and looking at the sand sculptures was such a wonderful place to spend a warm July night.
