We had some problems with our first travel blog. It seems that we signed up for a very low-tech knock-off of the much better version. We have canceled our old blog and you are now all signed up to receive an email notification whenever we add new content. Our apologies for any inconvenience to those who had to struggle to sign up with the old blog.

6/4: fly out of Logan after kids have last day of school
6/5-6/9: Iceland (first stop after we land is the Blue Lagoon - thermal hot springs, where I anticipate I will sleep the day away...)
6/9 - 6/12: London
6/13: Dover, England (to get ferry over to France)
6/14 - 6/16: Paris
6/17 - 6/19 with relatives in Pontlevoy, France
6/20: Beaune, France (en route to Switzerland)
6/21-6/28: Wengen, Murren, and Grindelwald, Switzerland - at base of the Jungfrau
6/29 - 7/2: Riva del Garda, Italy (north)
7/3 - 7/5: Venice
7/6 - 7/12: cruise, stopping in Turkey (Sam's 13th birthday will be in Izmir, Turkey), Croatia, and Greece
7/13: Rome
7/14 - 7/19: Egypt, including 3 days on the Nile

7/27 - 8/2: safari in Tanzania
8/3 - 8/7: Chiang Mai, northern Thailand
8/7: Bangkok, Thailand

8/12 - 8/15: Alice Springs/Ayers Rock, central Australia
8/15 - 8/21: Gisborne (outside Melbourne), Australia, with my brother and his family
8/22- 8/29: Kailua-Kona, Hawaii (big island)
8/30: home 😞

The more I travel, the less physical stuff I acquire along the way, and the more digital images I take and words I write. Hope you have plenty of memory cards for your camera(s) and everyone an old fashioned notebook and several good pens. With that great itinerary, also give yourself some unplanned hours for serendipity to happen.
