We said goodbye to New York today. Walked over to Penn station (underneath Madison square gardens)
Waited for our train only to be told it was 40 minutes late. It was a long hot wait. Finally I can only describe it as a rugby scrum to get on the train. Took the guards offer to upgrade to business class. Much more comfortable. After a wonderful run through beautiful country we arrived in Boston.
The hotel is a short walk from the station so the taxi driver we had 10 years ago ripped us off.
Hotel has seen better times and is much more expensive than the New Yorker for a rough ordinary room with surly staff.
Still have had a good dinner now and am looking forward to tomorrow. Will post more photos then.
