The week in Annapolis July 16th -July17 Monday July 16, 2007 It’s final! Mark and I are now out of the house and staying at the Lowes Hotel in Annapolis, Maryland for the next week. Well, we are kind of out of the house. We were under the impression that the movers were coming today while the movers were under the impression they were moving our house tomorrow. Last night we had to say Goodbye to my mom and dad since they are off to Nova Scotia to see her family. We had a nice dinner at Lewnes (if you are near Annapolis, it is a MUST ... read more

Here I am finishing up my last few hours at a job I've spent the past year and a half growing into. I made a lot of good, had a lot of crazy experiences, and learned more about beer and music than most people do in a lifetime. Soon I will be off to another great adventure in the far off country of Korea. I am jumping in headfirst, taking a leap of faith if you will. On this adventure I will keep you posted and up-to-date on my day to day. I promise pictures, mountain climbing stories, drunken novels and more. Check back for updates!... read more

With just over a week until departure to Argentina, finishing my job and moving back in with my parents has left me thinking back over the past year and a half I have spent here in and around Annapolis. So this is not really a travel blog, but more of a blog about home. Which is part of the journey I suppose! After a year in Annapolis I ... read more

On Day 3 we drove through Georgetown, one of the surrounding DC neighborhoods, on the way to Annapolis. What a cute area! With it’s beautiful old houses and neat shops, restaurants and cafes lining the main street, this is definitely an area that we would like to come back to when we have more time. This time though it’s just a quick drive through on our way to Annapolis, the capital of Maryland. We got to our hotel by 12.30, checked in and hit the streets. The historic downtown and harbour area was easy walking distance from our hotel and we were able to cover all the main attractions in one afternoon. Unfortunately it happened to be a very hot afternoon so we had to break up our outdoor walking with lots of visits to air-conditioned ... read more
