We are winding down our cruise of Maine for this summer and wanted to share some of the landscapes and experiences. The jetty is quite long so the walk to this light house is quite impressive along the jetty.

Lost on a side road we found this family cemetary for the Farnsworth's whose name graces the famous Farnsworth Museum in Rockland.

This stunning anchorage is in the middle of Vinalhaven. room for many and safe in most weather it is a popular spot.

Well, you wouldn't be able to SEE Seal Bay if it were in the fog, but you can see it creeping in from the far end of the Bay.

A stroll on many islands will reveal art and gift shops. This one in North Haven caught my eye with the fuschia and the window display.

This mamouth fungus was on Vinalhaven. I have seen them preserved but would not know how to do it. We just admired.

It is a "loive-hate" relationship that we have with these ever-present traps. We have been snagged and damaged several times, but have eaten our share of their catch as well!
