9/22/11 - Thomaston, ME - Thursday - 69 degrees This morning we lounged around the motorhome and watched it rain and rain some more.Jack and Barbara came over and we watched movie "Message In A Bottle". Went to Maine State Prison Showroom. Many different things to buy. Later Aleta fixed sirloin steak, hashbrown casserole, and corn on the cob. Watched another movie - "A Pair Of Aces". 9/21/11 - Wednesday 69 degrees Got up to 75 degrees Today we rode to Two Light State Park and had lunch at the Lobster Shack. Pretty scenery and they were filmintg some Mercedes commercial. Went to Pemaquid Lighthouse and had ice cream on the way back to the RV park. Had fried cube steak, potatoes, beans and scali bread for supperr.... read more

9/20/11 - Thomaston, ME 58 degrees Gloomy day - - no sun - - trying to rain Rode to Marshall Point Lighthouse. This was in the movie "Forrest Gump". He ended one of his runs across the US at this lighthouse. You will recognize it. When we left here we went to Owl's Head Lighthouse, then to Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse. Jack and I walked the 7/8 mile long breakwater to the lighthouse and back while the ladyfolk relaxed back on shore and back at the truck. Left there and drove to Shaw's Restaurant which was a scene in the movie - "Message In A Bottle". We, Aleta & I had fried lobster dinners with fried onion and cheesesticks as appetizers, Jack had lobster and steamed clams, while Barbara had steak and lobster tail. Headed back to ... read more

9/19/11 - Bourne, MA to Thomaston, ME - 66 degrees Venturing out to Maine today..... we will stop at Thomaston, ME today. Gas started out at $3.63 per gallon- - - this is a good place for a recap of expenses - $918.59 Gas 326.20 Campgrounds 143.00 Tours 18.95 Tolls 96.97 Eating Out Traveled through New Hampshire today, but had to stop at our favorite place to shop (Wal-Mart). We arrived at Salt Water Farm Campground at 6:38pm. We were a little later than planned as the head master got a little off track (lost), but we made it to the campground. Nice campground, they are a Passport America park. Sites are grassy, three level. If you stay here, try to get the last row which faces the St. George river. All to tired to cook, ... read more
