Great mad place, knew no one there but just had to go. Stayed in a really American motel - we were the only whites in the local taek way though. French quarter & Jackson Sq. & markets were great. Bourbon ST was nuts - cocktails very strong. Voodoo shops kitschy. There's no streetcar named Desire though. And I remember they had a pretty good Aquarium in Garden district in Charles ST.
