Arrived Louisville for a conference. Spent the evening walking around the downtown area, which has been redone recently. Lots of shops and restaurants (mostly chains), under a giant atrium. The coffee was outrageously priced, however. When I complained that the Starbuck's charges more than they do in San Francisco, they barista laughed ... Yes, she said, we hear that all the time: more than Chicago, more than New York, more than San Francisco. Don't blame us, she said, it's the hotel that prices the coffee. Hilton bastards.
