day three of the journey!!

Today has been a good day. Long but good. we started out around 8:45 am today and drove for a good long while. Mother dearest went ahead and got her alloted speeding ticket for the trip (in illinois going 15 over)! The police officer was nice at least...Then we ate lunch/dinner (it was around four) at Denny's where i had french toast YUMS! The only other eventful thing that happened today was that we got lost in Kansas city. We were supposed to get off at 2A but it went from 1A to 3A...yea didn't make sense to us either! Well, just so happend that there was a gay pride festival there today (not to mention a torrential down-pour) so at least we got to look at all the cutie pattootie gay guys flouncing around while we were lost! It was VERY pretty in down town Kansa city. It reminded me ALOT of Paris. I saw alot of things that reminded me of my family today... Every time we'd see an airport mom would say 'i wonder how long it would take meagan to fly here...we can wait!! call her!', and i'd just look out my window and try not to cry. Also, there was a town that we stopped in for gas called Sparta!LOL the sign said 'Now entering Sparta' and i thought of my brother in-law Mike 😉 Today was my daddy's 50th birthday. I'm so sad i didn't get to spend it with him... well time to recharge for tomorrow! Goodnight
