The Inianapolis Art Museum could be one of the coolest city Art museums I've been to in the states, so far. Although the Museum is FREE there is a $5.00 parking fee if you want to park close to the museum or use the garage. Still a bargain if you have a car loaded with people.

I wasn't sure if the family was going to be bored looking at ART but we had nothing else to do on a Saturday morning. I was really surprised at how intrigued my kids were at the museums set up. It had more than just pictures and sulputures, the second floor was set up as a museum display from other coutries and era's to include artifacts such as a Mummy from Egypt, and tons of African tribal items. The African display level have recordings of tribal music that you could push to hear and view a short clip on a mini screen. Needless to say my worries about the family not being intrested was totally dismissed as we really got into it and pondered about what we were looking and learning about. I still can't believe it was FREE! The grounds to the museum

is massive and I expect it to be gorgeous in June. We plan to pack a picnic and return to explore the grounds another day. We might even do one of the outdoor movies they have on certain dates.

I definitly think this museum is worth the time to go explore if your here in the city visiting.
