1. I would pick the old world because I eat mostly old world food. According to the list, old world foods have more fruits and vegetables. Moreover, all of the old world foods that are commonly used today. For example, carrots, bananas, and broccoli. In the new world, food started to become unhealthy, and people in the old world feared to eat it. for example, tomatos people in the old world would not eat them.



<li class="ingredient">2. 2 1/3 cup(s) all-purpose flour<li class="ingredient">3 tablespoon(s) all-purpose flour<li class="ingredient">1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder<li class="ingredient">1/3 cup(s) vegetable shortening, cold<li class="ingredient">1 stick(s) ( butter) cold and cut into small pieces<li class="ingredient">1 1/2 tablespoon(s) butter<li class="ingredient">8 large apples, peeled, cored, and cut into thick slices<li class="ingredient">2 tablespoon(s) (about 1/2 lemon) fresh lemon juice<li class="ingredient">3/4 cup(s) sugar<li class="ingredient">1/2 tablespoon(s) sugar<li class="ingredient">1 teaspoon cinnamon



<span>In a bowl, combine 2 1/3 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and baking powder. Using 2 knives, cut in shortening and cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle 1/3 cup boiling water, 1 tablespoon at a time, over mixture, stirring with a fork. Divide dough into 2 pieces, 1 slightly larger than the other. Pat each into a disk, wrap tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until chilled. <span>Place pie on a baking pan and bake for 45 muntes to 1 hour.

Apple pie represent old world because most of the ingredients listed above are from the old world. Moreover, apple pie has been made in the old world, and people has been making apple pie adding their own ingredients.
