Pope Francis, the Pontiff of Firsts, Breaks with Tradition

1. This article mainly talks about Jorge Bergoglio, the new pope, also called pope Francis revealed himself as the new pope for the Catholics, he made history as the first non-European pope of the modern era, the first from Latin America, the first Jesuit and the first to assume the name Francis. Pope Francis also broke tradition by asking the crowd to pray for him instead of him praying for them first.

2. I believe that his ways and his traditions should be added as long as it does not take away from what the religion believe in; also i believe that the new traditions would make the Catholic religion better.

3. This relates to class because I learned that new forms of Christianity were forming because of the different beliefs, but the religion was mainly the same, and also the popes added their beliefs and traditions to the religion which is exactly what this pope is doing.
