Coeur d'Alene Lake, Idaho We are eschonced in the small lakefront town of Harrison, Idaho. The drive along the shores of Coeur d'Alene Lake has been beautiful. This lake has been compared to Lake Tahoe and for good reason. Both are surrounded by dense forests of pine, spruce and fir and they look very similar in all aspects. Coeur d'Alene lacks the surrounding snow capped peaks, but is still filled with the same clean, clear mountain water for which Tahoe is famous. The burst of the real estate bubble has been really pronounced here in Idaho as I saw a tremendous amount of properties for sale and unfinished development projects as we drove around the Lake.
