I had never visited the North Shore prior to this day, so rented a car in Waikiki and made the short drive to check out Shark's Cove, its highly touted Shave Ice (which did not disappoint), Pipeline, Turtle Bay Resort, and whatever else I could find along that stretch of road.... Read Full Entry

This spot marks where radar was employed on this spot on 7 Dec 1941. The Japanese planes were first detected at 7:02am and of course the bombing of Pearl Harbor commenced just before 8am. How would things have gone down differently if that detection at 7:02am had prompted Air Raid defenses all across the island?

The marine life seems to be ok with the humans in close proximity as this Seal didn't seem to care about the people not too far away.
