sign by the parking lot which gives an overview of all the amazing things to see
When we arrived to Atlanta our first stop before even checking into the hotel was to visit the Martin Luther King Jr Historical Center. The grounds are very large with tons to see. various museums, architecture, monuments and history to indulge yourself in. We managed to see the house that MLK grew up in, the Atlanta fire station no. 6, Ebenezer Baptist church as well as MLK's final resting place. after soaking in all the history of one of the greatest men alive we headed off to the hotel and try to track down some dinner. After dinner it was a short walk over to Turner field where we saw the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Atlanta Braves. Inside the field grounds are a ton of statues commemorating past players. There is also the Braves Museum & Hall of Fame which has a ton of history inside as well as movies, uniforms throughout the ages and snippets of historical moments. The braves managed to pull off a 1-0 victory so we ended up heading back to the hotel with smiles on our faces.
