Atlanta, Atlanta, ATLANTA!! We love Atlanta. After a 10 hour drive from Memphis thru Nashville to Atlanta we arrived in Fayetteville just 10 miles South of Atlanta. Our friends Phil and Jane were outside to greet us as we pulled in to their 5 acre property. While in Atlanta we enjoyed lots of outdoor activities because, fortunately for us, we brought the warm weather (that’s a first, right Texas?). The weather was wonderful with not a cloud in sight. Phil and Jane guided us through the wonderful Stone Mountain Park. Not only is it a great place for kids with a large playground area, but we also saw a blacksmith presentation and a glass blowing workshop. “ You can’t try to do things; you simply must do them” Ray Bradbury First thing we did this AM was to return to Siesta Beach for a walk. It was a cool, breezy, sunny morning. I think we would like to return her one-day. After our shower we were off to meet Bob friends in Ellenton, a reunion from his workplace. We made one stop at Mixon’s orchards, what a super place, I had my first kumquat. There is a method for eating these goodies. Wash well, roll back and forth in your hands, pop the entire thing in your mouth and chew. The inside is sour and the skin is sweet so it is a contest for one’s taste buds to figure out what to do. So much to say and so little time to say it! Once we get settled we will try to be more diligent in writing, but the past two weeks have been a whirlwind! I have been finishing my job as an instructor and advisor at USF, finishing my school work in my master's program, finishing writing USF's SACS report (don't ask), packing my apartment up without a job, searching for a job, and missing Jen every second of every day. I did some other stuff, too, but I won't bore you. The bottom line is I got a job at Jen's school! Hi all, It is 10:25 here in St. Pete and Jen is doing her final packing for the big trip. We created this web log to chronicle our upcoming adventure in Busan, South Korea, and our adventure together in life. For those who don't know is, this is Jeremy writing.
