Birds/Siesta Beach
The birds are the ones that own the beach “ You can’t try to do things; you simply must do them”
Ray Bradbury
First thing we did this AM was to return to Siesta Beach for a walk. It was a cool, breezy, sunny morning. I think we would like to return her one-day. After our shower we were off to meet Bob friends in Ellenton, a reunion from his workplace. We made one stop at Mixon’s orchards, what a super place, I had my first kumquat. There is a method for eating these goodies. Wash well, roll back and forth in your hands, pop the entire thing in your mouth and chew. The inside is sour and the skin is sweet so it is a contest for one’s taste buds to figure out what to do. We had fun tasting oranges, tangerines, grapefruits, orange fudge and orange ice cream.
We found Neil’s house and the rest of the AGR group waiting. Bob and his friends had fun reminiscing. Neil had a great blue heron, George, that visits him daily, of course, he feeds it. There was a crazy story of how the bird got into the house one day, and began to panic….. I will leave the rest to your imagination. We had a delightful meal at the

This is one of the top beach in the USA. But stay tuned you will see ones that are better. Crab Shack II.
We drove north to Tampa area to find the Lazy Days RV camp and RV center. WOW! This is the largest RV center in the US. We stayed at the campground, hot tub and all, as well as a free breakfast.
