Due to several factors we didn’t spend a lot of time in New England, weather and RV park availability to name two New England consists of the 6 Eastern States, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and Rhode Island( tiniest US state) They are renowned for their beauty, especially during the “Fall” ( Autumn to us Brits) because of the spectacular display of the seasonal change of leaves People travel vast distances to see the colours. They are known as “Leaf Peepers” to the locals. There is a web site for leaf colour check which has a chart to tell you where the best colours are and when. Hello from Saint Augustine, the oldest town in the US. The town is only 1.5 hours from Gainesville, on the Atlantic coast. It's a nice little town which attracks lots of visitors for a taste of the old times. On the way there, we pass by several tiny Southern towns, very typical of the Floridian landscape. It's nice to stroll the streets lined with the victorian old houses, now transformed into bed & breakfast, art galleries and stores. The smell of freshly made candy follows us while we window shop on St. George Street. There are several cozy restaurants in town but we still haven't found one with great food worth a return trip. However, the Manattee vegetarian cafe, although not a picturesque place, offers delicious vegetarian food. We 've been eating there since our first ... read more

St Augustine Resort & Vegan Cafe St Augustine is the oldest city in America (if you’re not Native American). It’s a quiet little beach town with an historic fort and nice boutique shops to find cool gifts and even cooler people. For an anniversary my lovely wife and I headed down to St Aug (as the locals call it) to stay at a St Augustine beach resort, the Saint Augustine Beachfront Resort. The resort was really nice with luxury accommodations and a nice pool. The beach was just steps from the hotel and restaurants all up and down the street.
