Bird on a rope, fishing and eating
Makes you appreciate...or maybe he's got a good deal? With great good luck we made another 50+ miles on the ICW, for 2 days, raised 5 bridges in good speed and still had time for showers and sweet potato fries at an outdoor cafe, while being serenaded by a lovely professional musician, Gary Campbell.
I spent quite a bit of time while checking in, watching very clever white birds fishing off the St Augustine Municipal Marina docks. One of the has learned to fish, balanced on a rope. It ran off a much larger bird to keep my attention. I did a little video of him catching and eating a tiny silver fish, the size of needles, that I will download when there is time to fiddle.
St Augustine worked her magic again and had no trouble getting us to stay over an extra day. Sauntering through gorgeous art galleries, browsing in used books stores and feasting on wonderful food are only part of the appeal. The rest is the magic of the old architecture and the enchantment of a year-round tourist town.
We would like to try the St. Augustine inlet to the St. John River but seas are still lurching around out there beyond
Excuse me?
There is a lot of signage in well organized marinas. our comfort zone, so we will clog along to Jacksonville bright and early.
Laundary's done. See you in Jax.
PS Thanks for all your lovely comments. All are recieved and appreciated.
