Epcot Center
Flower Garden Festival Because we are going to travel around the world today, we have to make this a single blog. Otherwise, it would take you 180 days just to read everything we have been up to. They will follow in future blogs. Of course, you already know all that since you accompany us on our adventures. Hail, Hail, The Happy Wanderers.
Forget any dates....I don't even know what day today is...let alone the date. Remember how we all went to Disney's Animal Kingdom? That was fun, wasn't it? After that park, Epcot Center was next on our dance card. So much to see, so much to do. Some venues were new to us but we quickly recalled many familiar places we had been to years ago.
First, we went on a ride with Nemo. I love Nemo! Lots of photo shots after the ride. I think this was my favorite place to be. What about you? We wanted to go on the Soaring ride but the wait line was 120 minutes....move on, folks.
Remember when we were at Disney Springs and drank the many Coca Cola samples from around the world? I think we paid @$10.00 for that treat (a
The Seas
Nemo Ride couple were disgusting and yucky, though...PUKE!). Here at Epcot that have a spot that you can have free samples of the various cokes. I tested the Korean Strawberry-Coke..it was right tasty! Plus, it quenched my thirst.....paaarched! Aaaaaa. Floor was real sticky.....Lulu would not have had a problem here....no feet to get sticky.
We moved along....."just keep walking, just keep walking" ....that's what Nemo would be singing to save Dory but their version was "swimming" instead of walking. They don't have feet either. Young children don't walk here....they all ride in strollers. There are a million strollers in these parks...of all shapes and sizes. Each attraction has a stroller parking area with a stroller parking attendant! I could do that job. Cory said he wouldn't mind doing it, either. The stroller attendant directs the parent to whatever row has a vacant parking spot. Disney does everything with perfection! Some stroller areas also had a drop off entrance where stroller parking staff grabbed the stroller and parked it for you. WOW! What amazed me were the personal items folks left with their strollers in these lots. So trusting!
After we left this entertainment area, we came to the countries of
the world. Canada greeted us first. Oh, Canada! Someone said this place had the best restaurant. We traveled through one country after another. They all basically had the same theme, specific for their own country, though. They all had gift shops, a fancy restaurant, an informal eatery and some history to back it all up. Take a look at the menu from Italy. You almost have to sell your first-born to afford the cost of these parks. Big families must save up for years! Just to park your car is $20. Norway has a new, big ride about "Frozen" but that line was ginormous...moved onward. We took the serene boat ride in Mexico. It is really nice.
To rest up, we took the boat from Morocco across their lake to Canada. We made it a round trip so we could relax and get a second wind. Whew.....we needed that. My Fitbit was buzzing like a swarm of bees.....I had walked far and beyond my goal. Yippee.....but I was half dead. I felt like Lulu.....with no legs or feet. I was numb. But, we kept going..."just keep walking, just keep walking".
We ended up at The Land experience and
Manatees
Jellyfish found ourselves in a huge moving theater that took us, in the dark, back to prehistoric times. Dinosaurs were all around us. Noisy fellas, they were. It was a long ride....I was happy. Rest my legs..rest.
When we went to Epcot, it was their Flower Garden Festival. Just beautiful. So many various bright and colorful flowers surrounded the entire park. Talk about "Tip Toeing Through The Tulips" --- we were frolicking through a zillion flowers. It was awesome.
Two more Disney parks to go. I think we will go to Hollywood Studios tomorrow. Get your cameras and autograph books ready. Lulu would love to go because she thinks she's a star but she has to mind the RV. Plus, she does not carry her own weight on these adventures. I have to carry it for her and she is no light-weight. Sometimes, Cory takes on the job of hauler, too. She's a heavy head, let me tell you.
Rest up because we will be doing big time walking again. I bought some new walking sneakers so you can use by old ones if you don't have your own. We'll pick you up early in the morning. See
you then.
