Italy? No Orlando Florida!
This is the Portifino Hotel at Universal Studios.Here we are finally one day away from our Disney Cruise to Cozumel Mexico. We have been keeping busy...after travel from Iowa to see family we stopped in Nashville at the Opryland Hotel. The Opryland Hotel is such an usual place. There are huge plant filled atriums. One with a boat ride through the "swamp"! The girls did their school work on the balcony overlooking the atrium.While in Tennessee we enjoyed visiting with some dear friends Carmen, Jann, Linda, Scott, Valerie and Rachel. We're gonna miss them all!
We are back to Florida now. This week we celebrated j's birthday at the Portifino Hotel, a beautiful place. The hotel is designed to look like Portifino Italy. There's a boat dock right out side the hotel, the boats take you to to the theme park. We also visited Green Meadows Farm this is the place for any one who loves to pet farm animals. You can pick up and hold everything from a baby chick to a baby goat. A and j tried to hold every creature there! Later in the week we took an airboat ride, a first for all of us. We loved feeling the wind in our hair

A world trip is very close as we wore our "lovely" ear protectors! We saw a few alligators and lots of birds.
We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel and the Animal Kindgom Lodge. Both are great places. The Hard Rock was a favorite for a...she loved seeing all the Rock and Roll collections. j's favortie should come as no surprised to those who know her best... Animal Kindgom is an animal lovers heaven. The rooms overlook a large savannah with giraffes, elk, zebras and others. The lodge is beautifully decorated in an African theme. Tommorrow is the big day... we set sail from Port Canaveral.
