Mt. Dora Extravaganza
Lulu on the Hot Seat with George ready to pull the switch.
Lulu amongst the goodies.....man playing hard to get. Lulu got mad. It's like rubbing your head and tapping your belly at the same time....some can do it; some can't. I fall in the second category. I can't experience our adventures and write about it soon after. I need a rest session in between. By the time we complete these marathon walking events, I'm whipped....even my brain and fingers. But I'll eventually catch up with you as long as you are patient with me.
Thusly (as Sheldon Cooper would say...Big Bang Theory TV Show)......yesterday: Cory, myself, Sam and George left Tropical Palms at 7:30 AM and headed off to Mt. Dora ( >an hour away) for their Antique and Collectible Extravaganza. That meant I had to get up before 6:30 AM--- yawn.???. It was a perfect day...slightly cool but still warm air flowing and then, hot in the sun (Goldilocks could find her favorite choice). Sorry, North People with logs on your fire. We trolled around the huge area this show offers with many, many dealers. Saw several of our dealer friends from shows we have set up at with them. That was nice. We didn't buy much...but did purchase a few needed treasures. One thing we bought (not old) that we really
Feeling Holy
Then taking a ride in a convertible. needed were plastic globes for our outdoor lights at the RV. One had cracked and Cory just kept gluing it....it looked real nasty but that was all we could do with it. A new set of these lights costs way over $100. Crazy just to look festive. But you want to look sparkly, you know. We bought our set when they was much cheaper. Anyway......a lady was selling just the globes: 3 for $1.00. WOW.......we started a small happy dance around them and bought six. Now we have all perfect ones..no nasties. Cory bought a standing, round, pool cue rack and I bought old casino chips...hoping to sell them on eBay. Sam always finds wonderful items that he gets for a good price. George had never been to this show so he was in awe of the myriad of goodies for sale. Another exit requiring slithering along the ground to reach the car due to exhaustion. Actually, I wore my sneakers this time so I wasn't quite so parallel to the ground.....just wanting you to feel sorry for me. You do...don't you? Thus ended a very good day of fun and foolery. Certainly, you have to admit the one who
Noooooooooo
Lulu has been caught and about to be eaten alive....save Lulu. really had a super good time was Happy Lulu. She had so many photo shoots and made so many new friends. I could hardly contain her in my carry bag...she kept trying to jump out but with no body she just had to be still.
The other day, Cory and I took a stroll around the park. We fed the ducks but then flocks of cranes took over and hogged the scraps. We met some new friends on our walk. The first couple was Barb and Bob. What caught our eye and confirmed we wanted to meet them was their sign outside their rig: "We Laugh Often Cause We Drink Much".....they are a very nice, laughing, happy couple. Before we reached home, we ran into Debby and Brian. We had met them before at coffee hour. They had their sweet dog, Precious, with them. They came over to our place for a visit...Lulu got to meet Precious and liked her a lot. We enjoyed our visit with them and hope they come back. Remember to each of you...our light is always on and our door is always open....come on down! There are Good Ships and Wood Ships but the
