We woke up pretty early today as we had a bus to catch. Nick finished packing while Marnee and I headed down to breakfast. Marnee had Mickey waffles to finish off what had been a wonderful adventure with Disney over the last few days.
We got our pre-organised cab with Lily and she dropped us off in Downtown Orlando. Where she dropped us looked like a dodgy car park but that’s where we were meeting the low budget bus company called MegaBus. Marnee and I sat with the bags while Nick went and got a few things from a 7 Eleven (he wasn’t feeling the best from the previous night’s adventures at Dick’s).
Our double decker MegaBus bus to Miami eventually arrived (which had cost us only $10.50 for all three of us) and it even had wifi. We left Orlando at 10:45am as scheduled. Throughout the 4hour journey we talked, ate our Allens lollies and our M&M Sweet and Salty packs that we had found. These consisted of normal M&Ms, roasted peanuts, mini cookies and pretzels in one pack. We made some videos on the trip, took some photos and had a good laugh about the previous 6days of adventures.
Four hours later we pulled up at Miami International Airport where we then waited 45mins for the hotel shuttle. When it did get there, it only seated about 8 people and was already full. We weren't happy... We jumped in a cab with another girl who was staying at a different hotel in downtown Miami so dropped her off on the way to ours, The Catalina Hotel and Beach Club.
We checked in to our room, got changed and made our way to the first of two pools that the hotel has, the rooftop one. The rooftop area was cool. There was a bar, a DJ and day beds all the way around. We stayed here for hours drinking and dancing and jumping in and out of the pool before eventually managing to find our room again, even in our highly intoxicated state.
Goodness knows how we managed to get showered, dressed and in a presentable state to go and get some dinner at FKU Thai which was downstairs out the front of our hotel. The food was really good. While eating, some Brazilian type dancers came out and were getting people up to dance with them – of course Nick was one of the first up there.
From there we went in search of a club called Mansion that we were supposed to be meeting at to do a club crawl which we never found. Nick ended up splitting up from us at this point as he persisted with getting into the club whereas Marnee and I gave up and headed down the road in the direction of the hotel but stopped off at The Playwright Irish Bar and Restaurant, #1 bar in South Beach. Here we played some pool, and had a few drinks, watched the Sydney Swans V Essendon match that was on the TV and talked to a few people before eventually calling it a night and walking back to the hotel.
