Rotel Bus
Coming into park I'm so far behind but I'm racing to catch up with myself. Pant, Pant, Pant! Hope you understand and have been patiently waiting for my lengthy musing that I am finally getting compiled. I appreciate your tolerance. Hail, Hail to each of You! Lulu is throwing kisses (best she can with no arms).
First, we are going to start with an enormous, orange bus that came into our park. Our friends said it was in here in November. Now it was back. It is called a Rotel Bus. Google it because it is something very interesting. I took most of the photos but borrowed a few (inside ones, etc) from Google so you could get a good idea what it is really like. This Rotel is "docked" in Alaska so it travels around in North America. It hold 26 people. Each person has a small cubby that they sleep in. Cozy! During the day, they sit in bus seats at the front. They dine outside it. When they sleep, each suitcase is brought outside and left on the ground cause during the day, the luggage is kept in the cubby. The driver for this Rotel was a German man. Besides
The driver
Getting things out driving the ginormous bus, he is the cook for this crowd. They stayed just a couple days here. These buses are located all around the world. Certainly a unique way to travel around, wouldn't you say? Lulu was so excited thinking how well she would fit into one of those cubbys.....but disappointed when told she wasn't going on this one. She'll get over it. They rode to the Disney parks in this big orange bus!
This bus was parked right next door to our friends, Sheila and her son Blaine. Their coach is a very special, made to order, 5th wheel. It is huge! More than huge! Ginormous! It takes a semi truck cab to pull it. Soon, they will be getting another rig like it but bigger! Unbelievable. Maybe they will be able to carry a crowd of people like the Rotel. Sheila is an excellent seamstress. She showed us the quilt she is working on for her son. Lucky Blaine! It's a beauty.
As I mentioned before: Disney parks. Cory and I went to Disney's Animal Kingdom the other day. Before we came to Florida this year, we bought special priced Disney Tickets to go to
their four parks. We are hurrying to go to them because soon the busy, holiday season starts and those days are all blacked out with these tickets. Years and years ago, we went once a year to all the Disney parks. Haven't been back for a long time except for The Magic Kingdom that we went to last year. Lulu fretted cause we couldn't take her. Our small carry bag doesn't hold her plus she gets much heavier each year. Bags are checked by security at the park...would she have passed through? Hmmmmm. We had a great time at the park. Our friends that have passes to DW highlighted the places and sights to really see. That was a good help. We went on the Safari Ride, walked miles along sight-seeing trails, rode their train, saw a Nemo musical and did everything we wanted to plus some. I hope our photos give you a good idea as to what we did and saw. Wish you could have been there but we didn't have enough tickets for all of you. So you and Lulu can pout and mope together. I did have to take a dose of Motrin to get through

Back view it all. Owwww. We walked almost 7 miles that day! Owwww. Lost NO weight. Rats! Maybe if I had lugged Miss Lulu around, I would have lost something....maybe. Oh, well. Instead of calling me Frank, you can call me Plumpo.
I'm now out of order with this blog but that's okay.
Still working off our bucket list, the four of us AND Lucky Lulu went to the Wagon Wheel Flea Market in St.Petersburg. You were able to join us this time. One entrance fee for a carload. It was a good day. Lots of dealers and thousand more lookers. We found a couple items that fit our fancy. At the last minute, for $3.00, Cory bought a portable potty. We know you were searching for one also. We knew we had a few friends back at the park who would like it a lot. We placed it over their sewer pipe and had a good laugh when they discovered it outside their RV. It's making its rounds. Lulu even tried it out....no problem. With no body, she has no excrement. Ahhhhh. Whew!
Before we left this gulf side area, we had to eat at one of our
favorite restaurants: Po'Folks. Great food, good prices and nice atmosphere. As we were being seated, a woman came over from her table and spoke to Sandy. She was Sandy's sister, Gail! What a small world. She and Carl have been down here since January. They came to this restaurant with friends cause there was no parking spot at the one they had planned to go to. What a coincidence and what a great surprise with this meeting. What a special day this was! Did you have fun?
Tragically, as were driving home, we read on Facebook about a terrible motorcycle accident that had happened this morning near Daytona Beach (Bikers Week). The accident involved friends of ours from Tropical Palms. Remember, Glen & Joyce, who hosted the block party we went to? It was them and their neighbor friends in this accident. Glen was killed and the 3 of them were injured and taken to the hospital. Of course, everyone here at TP are in shock and feel so sad for Joyce and her friends, Bruce & Marianne. Just so sad, shocking and tragic. R.I.P. Glen.
Our neighbors, Mike and Terry, suggested going to Manny's for dinner. It
Side goes up
Tent added on didn't take long to gather a group of eight to head down I-192 to this festive restaurant. It was a good choice. Food was good and the companionship even better. Cory gave our routine toast: "There are good ships and wood ships, but the best ships are friendships!" It held so much truth this evening. Yay!
There are more places we have gone but I have to put them in another blog. I'm sure your eyes are getting burned out with the many photos (41) I have posted. But, a picture is worth a thousand words.....even though I include the thousand words, also. Lucky you! Again, I heard you! But that's okay. Just remember the scrolling and going onto another page so your sore eyes can view all of them. We'll meet together soon.....keep your seat.

The Rotel Big Orange Bus is the knew covered wagon, as nice as it sounds it is still ruffing it. Loved the animals and , the food and fun of the trip. Back at the ranch we are recovering from this new storm, we were lucky in our area only had about 10 inches of snow diving difficult , some accidents, heart attacks, from shoveling snow, schools closed, but the sun is out this am and it will all pass.I hope this is the last storm for the winter. Love the hair cut. Happy Trails.
