In Our Easter Bonnets
.....with all the frills upon it A Joyous and Happy Easter to all of you! Hope you like our chapeaus.....Lulu wore her old one....miffed. No bunny visit for her!
Our days have been filled with with so much activity, it will become such a let down tomorrow when our last family heads home to New York. We will be like lost sheep. But with eye catching caps.
Making the most of our time together, we piled into our car and sped over to Gatorland yesterday. I think this place is great IF you like ‘gators. There are thousands of them to see. There are several exciting shows with these scaled lizards which everyone enjoys. The other creatures on display are fascinating. Panthers are a new addition since we had been here last. If you have never visited this park, we highly recommend it.
Lory, Jay, Sara & Ashlynn are now staying at the Regal Oakes Resort, right outside our park. We toured their condo and are in awe. It is more like a townhouse…..beautiful. They have two big bedrooms upstairs, each with their own full bath. Off the Master Suite is a screened balcony. There is a laundry room, also. Downstairs, you find a
large, full kitchen. There is a half bath which you can get lost in. An attractive dinning area leads into the living room. This entire area is wide and spacious. Off the living room is a screened patio with a full-sized hot tub, chaise lounges and umbrella table & chairs. The resort has a huge, beautiful pool with a water slide. There's a hot tub also. Next month, the clubhouse will open their restaurant and bar. It is all very impressive.
The Easter Bunny said the best place to enjoy the holiday and our last family outing was at the Disney Village/ Downtown Disney. So into our Ford Flex Limo we all jumped. All around this delightful and busy place is major construction….mostly building parking garages. However, Cory (aka - Mr. Slick) found us a convenient and easy spot through the confusing hub-bub. We strolled through the grounds from one end to the other…..at least the Knapp’s did. Cory and I cheated and found a resting spot to meet everyone. What did you have for Easter Dinner? Ours was not traditional but the best one ever. I had my tuna melt from the Earl of a Sandwich. Hallelujah! Nothing
Ouch
Don't Bite better. The rest had similar but nothing compares to my tuna melt. Thank you, Easter Bunny.
In the evening, we took Sam & Sandy to the Knapp’s condo unit to see it. All of us here at Tropical Palms have been wondering what the place looks like. Now we know. Some of our friends who rent cottages here at TP are going to rent at Regal Oaks next year. Looks like they will definitely enjoy their surroundings. For the rest of you, just plan on returning with us back to Tropical Palms. I think you have become accustomed to this place and we want you to feel at home.
I mentioned in a prior blog that Lory & Jay had the opportunity to visit Lory's good friend from grade school. They hadn't seen each other for over 20 years. Such a nice reunion they had with Robin & Paul. Photo included here. Friends Forever.
The Knapp's leave Florida in the early morning. We have enjoyed being with all of them during their vacation. Time has gone by too quickly. Sooner than we think, we will all be back together in New York. Snow on the ground today
Alligators Galore
Albino Alligator there! Nooooo. How did that Easter Bunny get around….poor holiday hare! Will it ever stop? All my hot air will help melt it when I get in the area…..that's for sure. Safe Travels Family. See you soon.
