Tropical Palms provided a wonderful Appreciation PROM Party for their long term residents (us....snowbirds and cottage owners). It was terrific. The theme was Prom Night. Most of us were limited as to what gown and stilettos to wear so we just dressed with what we had available. The food was delicious. The entertainer was fantastic: Jimmy Rogers. He has been here at TP before and always gives a great performance. He sings the '50s & '60s tunes as well as imitating some of the famous singers of that era. He is so good! The toes were tapping tonight. Lulu was miffed cause she couldn't attend.....she had no outfit to wear. Her darling dress was way too long. She'll get over it.....her day will come. Right now, she's moping. Tisk, Tisk, Tisk.
This party, final one for this year, brought together all the friends that have shared this wonderful place in paradise. It's been a great ride! Now the fond farewells and continuing departure begins. Each day we find another empty site or cottage that a friend once occupied. It's sad to see but the fun filled memories linger on. Each friend moves on to their next station: home, more vacation

"Just for you, Sandy" says Bartender Jeffor where ever the road may take them. The big RV's resemble a lumbering dinosaur meandering it's way out through its resting place. New RVer's pull in but they are not part of this family group that has formed with our long term friends ( of course, you are included in this family). Yet, it is nice to continue to meet new people. We are truly a unique group of "campers"........ far from the image of Trailer Trash. Our trailers are coaches.....fit for kings and queens. The cottages are called Sand "Castles".....royalty reside within. "It's A Wonderful Life" as Jimmy Stewart once said. "Life is Good" as the T-Shirts read.
Our activities are now with our own families who are visiting for the Spring Break period. They are definitely enjoying and appreciating the warm weather here. Just like from night to day compared to what they left behind ( in Western New York). It's terrific being with them again after these 3 months. We shall plan a day of departure sometime after they head home. Not sure exactly what date......just when the Shongo winds call us home. Right now we are just glad to be back and together with
