Already I can see I’ve made a big mistake. I waited too long to write my blog...now so many events have occurred requiring a mega amount of photos to share with all of you. So be it.....just remember to keep scrolling and changing pages until you can’t go any further. We truly appreciate your cooperation. Was that moaning I heard in the background?
We’ll begin with the “bet”. Remember the Super Bowl and how Cory & Sam always bet on their teams? This year, Sam drew the low card so Cory had first choice to pick a team. Alrighty! Can you guess which one he picked? Hmmmmm. Yep! He selected the New England Patriots and Sam got Kansas City. Obviously, you know the history here. Cory won so Sam & Sandy had to take us out to dinner at Cherry Pocket. Yippee! Hooray. No need to feel sad for them....Sam won over the past two years plus in other years. They gloated it over us. It was our time FINALLY! We merrily cruised along to one of our favorite restaurants. We don’t have to doll up to go here.....it is VERY rustic, to say the least. We really like it
a lot! We sure miss Linda, the manager. She died last November. I always took a picture of her with Lulu (best buds) that she used as her phone saver photo. It looks like her parrot died, too. Sniff & Snivel. Only nasty slop remained in the pan beneath his usual outdoor perch. He didn’t look well the last time we saw him. The food is still good. Be sure and get their garden salad with their secret cherry dressing...it’s to die for! Sandy & I are still trying to figure out its ingredients. If we figure it out, we may bottle it and sell it! We want a catchy name for it......?Sandy’s Sauce?
Cory & I decided to head over to the city of St.Cloud the other day. We walked their Main St. Nice but now all these little Main Streets are beginning to look alike. You’ve see one, you’ve seen them all! Lulu was happy to visit a quaint Tearoom that emanated delicious cooking smells. We ended up eating at the Catfish Place.....scrumptious shrimp! I would rate it as the best of all the restaurants we go to.
Cory and I went to a dance class
offered here at the park. We had missed two sessions cause of all our health appointments. Will they ever end? Nope....we have a combined eye appointment tomorrow ...just a check up. The lovely and gracious couple who were the teachers were so very kind and patient. They taught the group various country western dances. One was called “Geronimo”. Besides being an Indian Chief, he was a medicine man. We needed some of his powers to help us master this dance and one other. We were on par to the ballroom dance group on the cruise ship.....worse in class! But we had fun and met some nice people.
Last Saturday, our park had their annual block party. The park furnished the band, soft drinks and hamburgers. Everyone else brought a dish to pass so no one was weak from hunger. Nicki Jo (activities director) had the folks up and playing various fun games. The band was great. Their music had all of us prancing and dancing or tapping our toes. We have a top rated singer in our group: Judy. She has the voice of an angel who can really belt it out when the song goes that way. We
were all standing to hear her sing so we were actually giving her a standing ovation for her grand performance. Sing, Judy, Sing! As you can see from my many photos, everyone had a good time. But....no one more than Party Time Lulu. She was all over the place...latching onto as many friends as she could. She just wouldn’t give up. Of course, she acted somewhat spicy and naughty most of the time, seeking gratification by those who would give it. Trollop.
Mike and his wife, Terry, contacted the four of us and we arranged to meet them for an early dinner. But first, our foursome had made our ritual Monday plans: The Webster Flea Market. It’s showing the season change there. Many of the “field” dealers have left and even the vendors under the pavilions are dwindling. It’s still plenty big with more than enough stuff to see and buy. So don’t hesitate going if the mood strikes. Lulu insisted on going. She’s so afraid she might miss out on something. She did find some new friends after trying on and buying some Brazilian underwear. Of course, they cover her face. Yes, the hats displayed by her friends
Both are dead....nasty slop in parrot pan
covered her face but so did the underwear as she pulled them on.
So after trudging around the flea market....(oh, thank you, Doctor, for making my knees feel new again)...we headed back to meet Sam & Sandy and Mike & Terry at The Texas Roadhouse. It was so nice to see the two of them again. They are a great couple. Mike used to have his 5th-wheel set up between Sam & Sandy and us a couple years back. He’s at Lake Magic now. We miss him!
Okay, folks. We made it! Whew! Actually I bet my text will take less time to read than the time you need to peruse all the photos. And that’s after I bunched them together! Think what a load they would have been had I not done that!
We have a very special day to celebrate this Saturday. I’m not spilling the beans and Lulu’s mouth is taped shut. You’ll know the surprise soon enough. Until then......hang tight.
