Hawaiian Party & Pasta Dinner
Carla, TP manager stopped by our table Tropical Palms staff provided two appreciation parties for all of its long termer’s ......that us! Both held in the same week. Are we almost all partied out? Nope....everyone keeps going just like the Energizer Bunny. Happy Easter when it arrives soon!
Our first party was called a Luau Party. Most everyone dressed in their Hawaiian shirts. Some lovely grass skirts were even seen. ?? My Little Grass Shack & Tiny Bubbles?? You can start singing now. Our dinner was wonderful. It was a pasta dinner. Hawaiian theme with Italian food. A nice mix. It was catered by a couple from Clermont. Excellent. After our meal in our gathering hall, we were relocated to the swimming pool. A nice band entertained everyone. Great for singing and dancing but no hula dancing....nope, not even one Hawaiian song. That’s OK. We are flexible and adaptable to whatever theme comes up. It was a great evening shared with great friends. Thank you, Tropical Palms.
Our friends, Ray and Sara, have their northern home in St.Mary’s, Pennsylvania. Cory’s sister, Gail, recently sent us an email about gold being found in them thar’ hills. Ray told Cory he’s going gold mining when he gets home.
Check it out, folks.

A roadway was blocked off and everyone found their spot to enjoy each other’s company. Tropical Palms arranged for Karaoke entertainment which allowed us to witness the superb talent by some of our friends. Yeah, Judy & Eddy. ??? Everyone brought a dish to pass. No one left hungry! What a delicious variety we had to indulge in. Lemonade, soda pop and water was provided by Tropical Palms. The party ran from noon to 6:00 pm. Lots of time to kick up your heels if that was your choice. Lulu stayed home....she knew she had no heels to kick up plus she’s dieting now. Thank you again, Tropical Palms. Fun, fun, fun in the old town tonight!
What a surprise we had when we returned to our RV after partying all afternoon. Our friend, Gary, had done a job he was going to help Cory to do. He did it himself with help from one of his relatives. Merci beaucoup! Cory had been roaming the park when a fellow signaled him. He had a fairly new Phaeton (name of our RV)
mud flap for sale. It fits across the back end of our motor home. It is much fancier and nicer than the original one we still had on our RV. More chrome and reflectors. Bling....we like bling! So Gary took our old one off and put on our new one. Thank you so much, Gary. Cory wasted no time putting a “For Sale” sign on our old flap. ???Beautiful Dreamer???
Time is running out for me. Soon my blogs will go on hold again. Why you ask? Inquiring minds want to know. Not the flu again! NO! NO! This Wednesday (28th) I’m going to have cataract surgery done. Owwwww! I saw a very nice doctor at Celebration and he does the surgery in Davenport. I have to be at the place by 6:30 am! We may have to sleep in the parking lot. I am not a morning person. Hopefully, I’ll sleep through the procedure.....I did request LOTS of drug....LOTS. I’ll have the 2nd eye done in a week or two. I figure my vision may be compromised through all this so not sure how well I’ll be seeing to write my blog. Hey....maybe I can speak into the
IPad microphone and do it....maybe. We’ll see.....oh yes, let’s hope so! On this same day, our oldest daughter, Lory, and her family arrive here. They are staying 3 nights at Regal Oakes before they can check into our timeshare, Cypress Harbour by Marriott. Located close to Seaworld. It’s going to be great to “see” them. Our son, Cory, and his family are arriving here March 31st. They are going to stay in one of the Tropical Palms cottages. It’s going to be great “seeing”them and having all of us together. We will be missing Tim & Conner and Kim and her family. I’ll be glad to have my cataracts taken care of and being with our family again.
So, hang with us. Enjoy the breather you’ll get in our absence. Hopefully, I’ll be back and thriving again soon....I sure hope so! I’ll be seeing you.....oh, I certainly hope so.
