Morning Joe! Good to the very last drop. Every Tuesday morning, Tropical Palms host a coffee hour for us “long termer’s”. Everyone looks forward to this coffee clatch. This morning was our first opportunity to attend this year. All our friends, and new ones, too, have returned to Tropical Palms. The room was filled and bustling with excitement as everyone gathered. So wonderful to see all again. What a happy reunion. 🎶🎶🎶Hail, Hail, The Gang’s All Here!🎶🎶🎶 We have a new activities director who went over a few pertinent items followed by a Q& A. In years past, I have offered up a brief chat (well, brief for me.....you do already know how I can drone on) of “helpful hints”with this group. I call them Sandy’s Snippets. Martha Stewart I’m not! I google and research little tidbits that might make something a tad easier for someone. I attempt to share them through a “show & tell” format. HEY! I hear groans!! Okay, Okay. I get your message. However, today, I had a few more useful suggestions to share. I do enjoy doing it and I hope those hearing me out do, also. When the boo’s echo and the big hook pulls

Friends together again
me off the floor, I’ll know it’s time to quit.
Sam & Sandy continue to maintain their dedicated walking routine. Sandy said yesterday, she walked 8 1/2 miles (was that a movie?). She could have walked from our house in Shongo to Wellsville (8 1/2 miles) if she had been in our neck of the woods. No time to waste, it’s zero hour for Cory and I to shape up again! Nooooooo - our couch is so comfy! Our TV demands our attention. Lulu refuses to let us leave her alone. No more excuse! It’s now or never. So, with limited enthusiasm on our part, we all hiked around the section of attractive cottages that are owned or rented by many of our friends. Doing it together makes the time pass quickly and actually, it becomes enjoyable just being with them and seeing others along our merry way. Cory hums “I’ll Go On Walking After Midnight” as our metronome. We are like a small parade - music and all. Stepping high....stepping out. We can do this! This year, I’m starting off slow and easy. Last year, I think I tried too much, too fast and got my arthritic knee
all irritated which compromised my trekking ability. I limped and dragged my leg like Quazimoto through the park while the rest of our steadfast hikers strutted themselves like marching soldiers. Lulu hitched a ride with Sam so she could feel included ——thats all that counts.
While relaxing outside our RV (our present lifestyle), we were pleasantly surprised when two of our prior TP neighbors showed up for a visit. Mike lived between Sam & Sandy and us while Joe was located behind us in our park. This year, they have moved to Lake Magic ....an RV Resort campground further up Rt.192. Do you think it was something we said or did to make them move away? We all tried to treat them like royalty but obviously, it wasn’t enough. There was no way I was going to give them Lulu....no matter what! She was willing to go (fickle gal that she is) but who would we have as our prime star for all my blogs? So, she stayed and they left! Bummer but so be it! Lulu belongs to us...all of us! It was really great seeing them both again and spending time catching up and recalling fun memories.
Lulu “ooooed” and “aahhhed” over both of them....that’s what they like about her. She’s such a flirtatious thing! It will be her downfall someday. We miss Mike & Joe. Yes, and so does “fancy face”. Fortunately, they aren’t TOO far away so we can get together again without much difficulty.....and we will! “Ify” about you-know-who. She can be a bit much at times....and this would be one of them.
Yesterday, we had our RV and car washed by the detailing company that we have used in years past. They do a wonderful job. And boy, you know how much our vehicles needed a good cleaning. Our car looked like a mobile mud hut. Today, the men returned and waxed both our vehicles. Wow, do they shine and glisten now...the vehicles, not the men! We had to wear our sunglasses just to look at them. As they buffed and polished everything, our group sat clustered together trying to converse over the racket. We managed just fine. Lulu wasted no time getting out of the RV and finding her place in the center of us all. Always craving to be the center of attention. She has missed Mike and Joe and

wasn’t going to let this chance pass being with them. Always such a DIVA!
Let’s call it a day. Clouds are overhead and rain is in the forecast. Poor Cory has started his wearisome ritual of putting away all the lawn chairs that I insist we have to bring. It kind of looks like stadium seating. We have a “discussion” about these chairs every year before our departure. We compromise a little but I win out more than Cory. He’s so good to just give up and give in. We want you all to be comfy when relaxing: Pick Your Seat!
