I spied this gnarley swim mask at the pool area on Hutchinson Beach. Amazing what sea water and pounding waves and hot sun can do to a face! Clinique forever!
Fort Pierce and Vero Beach

Our stay on the "east coast" of Florida was fun, if chilly, and went by all too quickly. We hooked up with friends from home and had a little bar-b-que at the Holiday Out Beach/Pool complex across A1A via tunnel from where the RV site was. We also hied ourselves (girls' shopping) up to Verro Beach while the guys played golf. We found several upscale boutiques including Blondies and Pathington's in the beach area of Vero Beach. I found a vey cool dress on sale - you'll see it at the track in August. "Blondie" at Blondie's sent us to Gallery 14 on 14th St. in the historic downtown area of Vero Beach. An opening reception was in full swing - many of the "14" artists who belong to the gallery were on hand, friendly and approachable - One artist, from the Berkshires, had amazing collage work, including a piece on the "clean up" of the Housatonic Creek. A special guest was fashion designer Audrey Schlit, an FIT grad who designed for Ralph Lauren for years. Audrey has done some famous "red carpet" fashions including Kate Winslet's gown for the Oscars. She was with Ralph

It turned a tad chilly - but I had my Lake Placid Jacket, my Keenland, KY furry head band, my gloves (also purchased in Lexington), my hoodie from the Lake George Outlets, my pink visor from Charleston, and the flip flops that light up (from the store I won't patronize). We had a beautiful swimming pool at Jensen Beach and never used it once!
Lauren during the Jackie Kennedy years and designed the famous "pill box." Vero Beach historic downtown - like so many - is in the early stages of renewal. Fort Pierce had a Friday Fest at their revitalized harbor area. Fun gathering - eclectic audience! Heading out with great memories --- hoping that Florida warms up for all of us!

This was a fun fest from 5-8 in a municipal park near the Marina. Music, food, imported "crafts."

Cheryl and Wes were shopping chapeau at Friday Fest and LJ just happened to "pop" in.

This African Land Tortois is taking advantage of the Friday Fest crowd to raise money for an exotic animal club - snakes, lizards, other interesting reptiles - the club participates in education programs. I gave!

The sites at Holiday Out are very close together - but the beach and pool complex are wonderful - so trade offs are the name of the game.
