November 12-15
We drove from Cocoa Beach to Aunt Dee's home in Bonita Springs in south west Florida. On the wrong side of the road. Nancy kept her eyes closed for 5 hours!

We had lunch at Okeechobee or somewhere in the middle of nowhere at Popeye's Chicken and Biscuits. And, despite not having burgers, it was very good.

With Aunt Dee (and sometimes Sandy, Tom and Jennifer who were down from Minneapolis) we went airboating through the Everglades, visited their private island, saw the summer homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, swam, ate lots of food - including gator. (The gator count will probably stay at 1 for the duration of the trip!)

On our last evening we had dinner at Sandy and Tom's and watched the brilliant orange glow of the space shuttle lifting off from Cape Canaveral 200+ km away. It doesn't sound exciting but it was!
