Lined up in hallway
Today brings to an end our incredible, extraordinary journey. The glorious voyage is over. Now it becomes a joyous memory. What an excursion it has been. Thanks for going along with us through my rambling epistle. You are always such welcome and good company. Last night, we placed all our suitcases outside our room in the hallway. One of the comedians we saw on this ship trip said: "When you board the ship, they tell you to lock your door and use the safe. Then, when it's time to leave, they tell you just to put all your luggage outside your room in the hallway!" lol. Still in cruise ship mode and not missing a beat, we made our faithful march to the dining room for one last meal: a big breakfast onboard the largest cruise ship in the world. Our final moment of being waited on for every wish and desire; always with utmost courtesy and class. What an ending to a trip of a lifetime. Savoring every morsel and minute, we gave our last final toast to our friendship on this floating palace which has docked back at Port Lauderdale. "There Are Good Ships and CRUISE Ships but the Best Ships Are Friendships!" Time now to head towards our departure area. It is all so organized. I suppose with over 6,000 passengers trying to getting off the boat at the same time, you would have to be. Otherwise, we probably would experience the biggest gridlock ever. Traveling with Sam on his scooter allowed us to get in the fast lines. We moved to the baggage claim area. Here, a helpful porter saw our need and retrieved all our luggage and piled it high onto his cart. He got us into another fast line to go through customs. He suggested that Cory & I each carry one of Sam's canes. It kind of felt good using a cane. Once through customs - which was only a nice chat with the official...no inspection or anything....our porter lead us right out to our car and loaded everything. Merci! Merci! The entire departure process went so fast and smooth. It takes more time and has more challenges when checking out of Wal-Mart than disembarking the largest ship in the world! At 9:00 AM, we were waving a sad good-bye to the Oasis of the Seas and a week of terrific memories that will

never be forgotten. We are so appreciative and grateful to Sandy & Sam, our professional cruise guide friends. They made our maiden voyage the absolute best experience ever. They arranged it all through their own expert travel agent (she did a superb job), got us super prices, told us the tricks of the trade to have the best & easiest experiences onboard. Sandy was atune to every show and event and made sure we got to all of them (we would never have done as much as we did had it not been for her....she was the leader of our pack). She could be a cruise director for any ship - she's the best! They took us through a new world that we had never experienced nor could have comprehended the wonder of it all. It was overwhelming. It took us 50 years to experience such ecstasy.....now we want to do it again TOMORROW. But most of all, they shared this once in a lifetime experience with us which was the ultimate joy. We couldn't have better sailing mates. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dear Friends! You are the best! So, this brings to a conclusion our fantastic sailing

adventure. I hope you had fun going on it with us. I'm thrilled I could share all of it with you....The More The Merrier (quote used to say when an occasion will be more enjoyable if a lot of people are there)....let's disembark together.
