The rare roseate spoon bill was once hunted for its soft pastel pink feathers.

The spoon bill uses its large spoon-like bill to search the muddy lake bottom for food. There is only an estimated 1000 mating spoonbills in the wild.

The Peninsula Cooter is a common hard shelled turtle throughout Florida.

When we first spotted the crocodiles, the smaller of the two was resting its head on the back of the larger animal.

When the crocodiles became aware of our presence the smaller animal swan slowlyoff in a different direction.
