Thanks to Craig for the headline.Spent the previous night and day in Richmond. Thanks to Sherri and Rick. Great flight down here. Left Richmond at 1630. Arrived in Delray at 2145 local. Beats driving and some beautiful views out the window. My plans are obviously up in the air. Thinking of going to the Bahamas. I have to see if I have my Radio Station License. Never done it before. It's about a 1 hour flight to Marsh Harbour. Anyone out there know about it? So today it's back to the airport and perhaps Fort Pierce to find out about 'international flying'. Well... first off... I am not in Delray Beach but I can't quite figure out how to change that. So here is my second attempt at creating a travel log. The purpose of this is to document our summer excursion to Europe! Adam and I will be going to Paris to celebrate our fifth year anniversary. Then we will meet students and Stephanie and Anthony (possibly) in London where we will study Shakespeare and more! Then we will all venture to Edinburgh for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival! How exciting and then... yes there's more cause we're that nuts! We will leave the students in Edinburgh and Adam and I with Stepanie and Anthony (again ?) will go to Liverpool to end our trip... In 1904, Jo Sakai, a recent graduate of New York University, returned to his homeland of Miyazu Japan, to organize a group of pioneering farmers and lead them to what is now northern Boca Raton. The small band of Japanese farmers did not ever meet their goals and the Yamato Colony of 30-35 individuals surrendered their dream. Only one individual, George Sukeji Morikami remained. He had a great talent for raising plants. His crops were always the biggest, the sweetest etc. In the mid-1970’s when George was in his 80s, he donated his land to Palm Beach County with the wish to preserve it as a park and to honor the memory of the Yamato Colony.
