The Capitol Building
A classic view of the Capitol. Dear Reader,
Recently, I have had the very good fortune to be at ease in my nation's capitol. My days of wander and idle have been wonderful. They have also just happened to correspond with the peak of color in the Fall leaves. The weather has been beautiful, crisp and cool, which has been the cause of this great leaf migration.
If you are considering "Leafpeeping" in the D.C. area I would encourage you to do it this weekend, because the colors have already crested and the trees will be bare before another week passes. The majority of these pictures were taken in the "Old Capitol" section of Washington DC, between East Capitol Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue and the area immediately around the Capitol building. They were taken between the 15th and 18th of November 2010.
What more can I say about the beautiful Fall leaves in Washington DC? Enjoy! I hope to write another blog very soon on the monuments of Washington DC.
Until Next Time,
Swiss Chris
