Phase One

Leaving town is a tricky thing....who's going to walk the dogs? how's the laundry going to get done? missing Sean's 16th birthday....I'm sure the kids and Rob will be fine (maybe even enjoy not having their mom around??) They are teenagers after all...two of them are anyway!

Headed out of PDX to Washington, DC with smooth travels. Sat next to a delightful woman on the plane who was recently in Berlin and Prague so received travel tips. In Berlin, she said don't miss the Pergamon altar on Museum Island and she echoed what many of said have Prague..."Surreal."

Then, top off the night with a fantastic dinner with a dear high school friend, Karin Reagan (now DeWispelaere). Once upon a time, we bonded over US History class senior year as friends/debaters who rarely shared similar political views but shared a passion for the world and travel. Fast forward (let's not say how many years) and now we share family stories, ever evolving life joys/challenges and a fondness for enduring friendship.
