Nous visitons des endroits plus beaux les uns que les autres. Nous sommes ravis et nos p'tits gars aussi... Le blog a plus de mal à suivre entre photos à trier et connexion internet incertaine. Nous avons eu l'occasion de partager ce moment avec des américains, des canadiens et quelques français perdus comme nous dans l'Idaho. I suppose you could think of this as a voyage of self discovery. It all began as a much larger trip to Australia, then it as we thought it through we realized we went ready for, four months in the outback physically mentally or in my case monetarily. So we decided to go half way or there about, the the tropical paradise of Hawaii. This seemed much more reasonable and it took away the thoughts that were keeping us awake at night. So we decided on the archipelago of Hawaii. This being closer and more affordable brought to the dream of a few months adventuring in the sun into our grasp. Next morning found us bright and early cruising down the road by 7am. The air was crisp and cool and the sun was just coming up but we knew within another hour it would be beating down on us mercilessly. Yesterday we'd seen temperatures recorded as 101 degrees F at around 6.30pm. Monument Valley National Park 'where the Earth meets the sky' was our destination. The park had only just opened for the day and we were one of the first cars to arrive. We checked out the map included with the guide then set off along the trail, the monoliths were lit up casting strange colours in the morning light, as the sun rose higher in the sky the darker shaddowy colours turned to rich red and orange shades, a sharp contrast to the ever ... read more
