Geo: 39.9864, -104.818Day 4Attended the wedding of one of my husband's young cousins. She had planned an outdoor wedding on a beautiful meadow of a ranch in the Castle Rock area. Unfortunately, it was raining, with a high of 44, so everything got pulled inside a 40x80 tent. Nice event but not what she had hoped. I photographed the bride from 9 am to 4 pm for the digital scrapbook I am giving her as a gift. We were all exhausted when dark came. Geo: 39.9864, -104.818Day 3We decided to play Denver tourists and visit the Denver Mint. Tours are free but they require a reservation online and a print-out ticket for admission. Some limited number of spaces are available for walk-ins. Tour is just a half-hour and is quite interesting. No purses, no cameras. More secure than airport check-in. They were producing pennies, but had Harrison gold dollars and Yellowstone silver quarters available for purchase. Old building is gorgeous; new one is pretty hi-tech. Only government agency to actually make money – literally and figuratively. Because of collectors, coins sell for much more than face value.We then toured the Denver Art Museum. There are two buildings in the Denver cultural center. On the 7th floor of the taller building is the western art. Remington, Russell and more. Very impressive ... read more

Geo: 39.9864, -104.818Day 2Continued west on I-70, had lunch at Pizza Hut in Limon (argh!), then headed west on CO-86, a scenic byway from Limon to Castle Rock. Stopped at Castle Rock Outlet Mall and picked up Under Armour windshirts since the temperature is much cooler than we anticipated. Mid-40s for a high; rainy and windy. On June 10!Met our brother-in-law and wife at Cinzzetti's Restaurant, a favorite of ours in Northglenn off I-25 at 104. Tasty as usual but both of us experienced stomach discomfort. Hey Everyone, We are now counting down...42 days till our trip. It was not easy getting here.Colleen is the most excited I think she is going to explode. I on the other hand is just trying to find things to get ready to leave. It took me 3 months to find my Passport I placed it in a very secret place sooooo secret I could not find it. Bottom Kitchen drawer under the foil!!!! I guess that tells you how often I use the foil. Next thing my camera,thought I had it in Sept!!!!!!The other Kitchen drawer under the glad wrap took me 2 months to find it. Do you see a pattern here???
