Geo: 34.1402, -118.35Dropped Erin at work then took her car to Hollywood for our Universal Studios visit. The experience has changed a lot since we were last there, and it was still good. Work on a major new "Harry Potter" ride was underway. The "Front-of-Line" tickets were great and we got on all the rides in a few minutes and therefore had time to do everything we wanted. Unfortunately we timed our return to coincide with peak hour traffic on Halloween Night! A 45min trip turned into 90min as Maps on my iPad took us through the centre of the city. According to the traffic overlay (red for heavy traffic, orange, then blue for clear running) that was as good a route as any other. Anja hadde veldig lyst til å besøke Universal Studios og se settet der de filmet "Frustrerte fruer". Som sagt så gjort. Gaten heter egentlig "Colonial Street" og ligger inne på området til Universal. Det var endel folk denne dagen, så ved ankomst valgte vi "Preferred parking". Dette innebærer at man får parkert vesentlig nærmere inngangen enn dersom man velger "regular parking". De prøvde også å prakke på oss "Valet parking", men det dreit vi i. Etter å ha parkert i det "lille" 8 etasjers parkeringshuset, var det bare å skaffe billetter. Vi valgte å kjøpe en kombobillett, som også gir oss tilgang til SeaWorld i San Diego. De har endel forskjellige kombobilletter, så det lønner seg å gjøre litt research før man drar dit. "Backlot" hos Universal.

Today was to be an eventful day. The most exciting part of which takes place at Universal Studios. It began with a quick tour of Hollywood. I was booked to embark on this tour at 8:30, but my guide was half an hour late due to a roadblock on the freeway. So I saw the same things that I saw yesterday - Walk of Fame and celebrity foot and hand prints. There's more to come. Our guide took us through Beverly Hills. This was an interesting and pretty area of LA. We were shown many celebrity and former celebrity homes, as well as told eventful stories. He also took us through Bel-Air and Rodeo Drive.
