Today was the day for our private tour with Dylan's Tours. First was a wonderful full breakfast in Luques, the Chancellor's restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. Our room rate included a $25 per room per day credit, that just about covered the bill.
We were picked up smack on time by Andreas from Dylan's in a large comfortable van that sat all eight of us easily.
Andreas was terrific, he had a great knowledge and obvious love of the city which he was happy to share. First he took us to the Mission District where we got out and spent half an hour or so wandering the streets taking photos of all the amazing street art. Luckily we had a beautiful sunny day, even though it was the middle of winter.
We then drove through the Castro area, before stopping at Twin Peaks for lots of amazing views and photos. Again, the lovely sunny day gave us lots of great shots. We then went to the Haight Ashbury and spent a little time wandering around there before driving through Golden Gate park. Next stop was Fort Point for photos of the Golden Gate Bridge, before crossing the bridge and heading

We stopped for half an hour or so in Sausalito, buying sandwiches for lunch and picnicking in a small park. Next was Muir Woods, where we had a good hour or so to wander this beautiful area. We also had some time at Marin Headlands for yet more stunning views. Lots of photographs were taken on this day! Back over the bridge and a drive through the Presidio and Pacific Heights before returning to our hotel.
The tour was fantastic. Along the way we had a running commentary from Andreas, who was happy to take questions and to stop whenever we wanted. For my review of the tour, see here: https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/ShowUserReviews-g60713-d1444435-r368622262-Dylan_s_Tours-San_Francisco_California.html
After drinks in the hotel bar, we walked down to North Beach for our dinner at Sotto Mare. Totally delicious food, highly recommend this restaurant for very reasonably priced Italian seafood. I had my first taste of Sand Dabs, as I don't eat shellfish. The others tried the famous Cioppino, which they loved too.
