Day 144 (Friday 11/09/09, NJJ)
Breakfast at hotel. Had a drop in appointment at a nearby beauty salon. My first cut and highlights for over 6 months. Lunch at Rubios (Mexican). In the afternoon, took the car back to Dollar, picked up the minivan for the 'family holiday' and then on to the airport to pick up Joan, Joyce and John. Took ages to find where to pick them up from then they were on a later flight from LA so were further delayed. I was crying with excitement when waiting for them. It was quite emotional after more than 5 months apart. We went straight to the California Hotel Suites and then on for dinner before an early night. The 3 J's had been up for over 24 hours and had also had a lot of stress at LAX with customs officers thinking of sending John straight back to the UK because of some error on their system. All to bed for a much needed sleep.
