Ray and Carol McCorkle from the Good Luck Sams in Colorado Springs came for a week's visit. They have a 40 motorhome and could not stay in this park, which has a 35 foot maximum. The park was built for small rigs and tents and has narrow roads and small sites. They stayed in Escondido, which is about 18 miles from here. They discovered San Diego rush hour on one of their return trips. We took them to La Jolla and San Diego. The cove at La Jolla is amazing with it rocks, pelicans and seals.

In San Diego, which is about 25 miles south, we had great lunch at Old Towne, a vintage Spanish village with lots to buy and eat. We also drove to the end of Cabrillo Point with its great views of the harbor. Ray and I toured the aircraft carrier Midway while the ladies shopped at the Seaport Village.
