Counting down the hours

We are Italy minus 48 hours, when you factor in time zones. After 5 years of planning - which you would think is plenty of time to learn more than a few phrases in Italian - but alas we are leaving with our Ciaos, Grazies, Buongiornos, and Arrivedercis to the San Francisco Airport tomorrow morning and flying away. Hope the volcano gods look favorable on the skies for the next 3 weeks, though being stranded in Italy wouldn't be the worst thing in the world would it? We hope to make entries and add pictures as we go this time. Stay tuned...
